Ephemeral Landscapes , Japanese *gansai^ watercolors on linen paper , a limited edition of artworks on paper . I produced this series in November 2023 for a studio exhibition in Paris . I was at time also doing an art coaching program. I was working on childhood memories and working around the notion of vulnerability and other sentiments . I was looking into creating work that for me resonated with this feeling . So I started looking at color palettes that expressed or for me resembled the notion of vulnerability , fragility , courage , and strength . So I started studying the meaning of colors and what each color meant and what they symbolized . I was fascinated by each colors meaning and I found that my favorite colors and they’re meanings really spoke to me . So I decided to work on a small format as for me it was more intimate and personal and expressed vulnerability . I decided to use the medium of Japanese watercolors as they have always fascinated me and dense water based pigments . I worked at a friends place in Paris , in a cozy and comfortable and intimate setting that permitted me to create in tranquility , silence and peace . Following the study of color meanings I created a series of fantasized and organic shapes and landscapes , evoking , vulnerability , sensuality , peace , intimacy and delicacy .
