Protection was a site specific installation for the exhibition Contemporary Overlaying at the Frederick Stibbert Museum in Florence , alongside textile artist Karl Jorns . This work was inspired by the exceptional armory collection present in the Museum , and the bird motifs and nature within the Museum . The color palette of the room where it was exhibited , the exquisite maioliche. The work was also a reference to experience of going through the COVID pandemic among other personal matters an armory of light and hope and protection .
